That's how I knit and people have to get over it. You can do a workshop, everyone will fin Bossy? I'll let them know right away. Stanbridge Meadows is off Leighton Road as you head from Stanbridge into Leighton Buzzard. Coming into LB, turn left at the first roundabout and straight over the next roundabout (they're only about 50m apart). The road is called Roundel Drive. About another 100m or so is a mini roundabout: turn left onto Nicolson Drive. The road will bend to the left before coming to an end. Stanbridge Meadows is on the right side of the end of the road, behind the gardens on Middleton Way. I don't know the post code, but the grid reference is SP939242. Hope that helps! I'll get onto The Greensand Trust right away...
Re: Stanbridge Meadows gets official opening

Can anyone tell me where Stanbridge Meadow is? Learning to knit Continental is one of my goals for this year, too, but I agree with your thoughts about being fond of the weird way I knit now. Not only that, but the muscle memory after years of knitting wonky sure is tough to fight, no? Good luck with your goal!

Re: Where are they now? It looks okay in the photo, but the stitches aren't as consistent as I'd like. The 'single' coloured stitches are generally pretty tight so they're not as noticeable as they ought to be. Of course I compare everything to the photo in the book, done by professional knitters of course!

Re: Tidy mind, tidy stitches

Pet lovers definitely have to get creative when it comes to dealing with the yarn stash! Have you contacted Blacker Yarns? They spin on cones for weavers and sell their wool retail so it's possible they sell coned wool retail as well. And it's all British!

Re: Is there any room for us small producers in the Campaign for Wool?

Hi Heather
You have started a great 'project'. I am looking for weaving yarns spun from British fleece. Yarns in balls/skeins for knitting are too expensive for weavers. Do you supply on cones?
Regards, Maggie Stearn
maggiestearn44@blogspot.com

Re: Gelli Aur Agricultural College: Sheep flock continues to grow

On Sunday, Jon “Fast Draw” Favreau logged on to Twitter to blast his Super Bowl spot for Cowboys & Aliens a few hours before the big ...

Re: Gelli Aur Agricultural College: Sheep flock continues to grow

Real Housewives of New York City" will be making an appearance on "Law & Order: SVU" playing an eccentric art patron who poses semi-nude for a painter. ...

Re: Gelli Aur Agricultural College: Sheep flock continues to grow

It was the largest flock of crows that birders have seen in Montreal since they began doing their annual Christmas bird count in 1935, Harrison said. ...

Re: Good prospects for wool prices

Indeed! Sadly coloured fleeces will never make much money. On the other hand, I find farmers are thrilled to sell their fleeces to handspinners (including me!), and even at £5 or £6 a piece it still offsets shearing costs for several sheep. I suppose the message is we need more handspinners!
